A medium for organising Expeditions:
Island Expeditions is not a commercially driven business offering
guided wildlife holidays with accommodation and flights .Our principle
focus is helping people to enjoy remote islands and areas rich in
wildlife that are logistically difficult to reach without extensive
planning and effort. Generally we only look to cover costs keeping
prices among participants to an absolute minimum therefore conditions
and accommodation can often be very basic and usually involve some
sort of camping. Participants must possess a good level of fitness
and be more than capable of looking after themselves in remote locations.
A relaxed attitude with lots of patience and flexibility always helps
the trip to run smoothly and nearly always the reward is worth all
the effort. Please contact us to discuss your ideas in detail and
then we can put something together and post it on the website.

Logistical support (fixing)
Whatever your needs we are pleased to discuss your
requirements. Enquiries are welcomed from tv and film prodecers,
wildlife photographers, government, independent or conservation
bodies undertaking wildlife studies such as survey or census
work seabird/sea mammal ringing, banding, tracking or tagging.
We can tailor an expedition to your specific requirements
This can be done either as a complete package to include everything
from permissions to boat charter or for just certain elements
of your trip. We have a wide range of back up and safety equipment
ranging from eco friendly igloo pre-fabricated pods to satellite
communication.

Guided Service:
I am pleased to offer my services as a Guide/Naturalist/Zodiac
driver and welcome all enquiries from wildlife, photography
and walking holiday companies worldwide. I also work on all
sizes of expedition ships and Yachts in both Scotland and the
Polar regions. I can also double up as a Mate/cook on the smaller
vessels under 23m reducing staff levels.
